How I Work
At the heart of my work is a belief that we are deeply connected—to ourselves, each other, our communities and the natural world. Our relationships, experiences and the wider systems around us shape who we are.
I create spaces where people can slow down, reflect and reconnect with what matters. I work with compassion, curiosity and trust. Rather than bringing answers, I work alongside people to explore what is happening and what might be possible.
Relational and trauma-informed
Our experiences shape how we understand ourselves, relate to others and respond to the world. I work in a trauma-informed way, creating a supportive, ‘safe enough’ space where people can explore at their own pace.
This can build greater awareness, self-compassion and choice.
Embodiment, creativity and nature
Our bodies hold knowledge that can go beyond words. Paying attention to sensations, emotions and physical responses can bring new understanding.
Where helpful, I use creative approaches such as poetry, drawing, making, systemic mapping, constellations and time in nature. These offer different ways to reflect, imagine and discover new possibilities.
Courage, compassion and accountability
Growth needs courage, compassion and constructive challenge, especially when things feel difficult or uncertain.
My work is shaped by intersectional feminist values, practices and an understanding of how identity, power and wider social systems affect our lives. Compassion and accountability go together. They help us reflect on our experiences, privileges, responsibilities and impact, while staying open to learning, challenge and change.
Learning and sustainable change
I see learning as lifelong. Reflection, curiosity and constructive challenge help us develop the courage, compassion and awareness to grow. Learning often happens between comfort and challenge, when we feel supported enough to question, explore and try new ways of thinking and being.
Lasting change also needs reflection, rest and recovery. Collective care helps us sustain ourselves and our contribution to the people, communities and causes we care about.
Working collectively
Collaboration is central to my work. I believe meaningful learning and change grow through relationships, shared responsibility and different perspectives.
I have worked across voluntary, public, academic and community settings on research, learning, organisational development and social change.
I welcome opportunities to work with practitioners, researchers, organisations and communities. By learning alongside each other, we can create more thoughtful, inclusive and lasting change.
