Organisational Development & Research
Organisational Development & Research
I work with organisations, partnerships and communities to support thoughtful, sustainable change through strategic thinking, collaborative learning and organisational development.
Drawing on more than 20 years' experience across the voluntary, statutory and higher education sectors, I support organisations to navigate complexity, strengthen leadership and governance, and develop more equitable, reflective and compassionate ways of working.
Strategic Development & Governance
I work alongside charity boards, senior leaders and partnerships to develop strategy, strengthen governance and navigate change with greater clarity and confidence.
This may include:
Developing and reviewing organisational strategy
Exploring purpose, values and organisational direction
Strengthening governance and decision-making
Supporting leadership development
Reflecting on organisational culture, power and accountability
Facilitating strategic conversations and organisational learning
My approach brings together whole-systems thinking with practical organisational development, supporting organisations to align their structures, relationships and ways of working with the values they want to embody.
Collaborative Research & Evaluation
For me, research is more than gathering evidence—it is a way of listening, learning and creating meaningful change.
I use qualitative, participatory and intersectional feminist research approaches that centre lived experience, value diverse forms of knowledge and support organisations to translate learning into action. My work includes action research, creative and participatory methods, organisational culture reviews and grounded action inquiry.
As co-founder of Changing University Cultures (CHUCL), I helped develop a grounded action inquiry approach that combines research with organisational development to support cultural change within higher education. This work has contributed to transformational programmes addressing gender, race, equity and inclusion, alongside published research exploring structural inequalities including misogyny, racism, classism and ableism.
Examples of collaborative research include work with Imperial College Faculty of Medicine, London Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), Thurrock Council Adult Social Care, the University of Sussex School of Education and Social Work, and third-sector organisations led by and for Black and minoritised women, Disabled and LGBTQ+ communities.
